Public engagement - a waste of time? Storify by @lulucrumble

I'm reading through @lulucrumble's Storified collection of tweets from yesterday's on-Twitter discussion about science communication and public engagement - bit of a shame I missed most of it really as it's interesting, and the discussion is still happening on Twitter.

The main thing I don't like about Storify, and the New Yorker I think, is having to click 'next page' at the end to see the next lot of tweets. I presume this is to save loading the entire lot at once. However I'm prepared to wait for them all to load so that I can scroll through continuously. I have a feeling that embedding the Storify into a blog allows this to happen. As the post loads all the tweets should load too - let's find out.

Comment policy: I enthusiastically welcome corrections and I entertain polite disagreement ;) Because of the nature of this blog it attracts a LOT - 5 a day at the moment - of spam comments (I write about spam practices, misleading marketing and unevidenced quackery) and so I'm more likely to post a pasted version of your comment, removing any hyperlinks.

Comments written in ALL CAPS LOCK will be deleted and I won't publish any pro-homeopathy comments, that ship has sailed I'm afraid (it's nonsense).
